Taxonomic remark From Knaust, 2020: This form, originally described as alga, was assigned to coprolites by Steiner et al. (2005). It is similar to Longfengshania cordata, with which it is associated, and has little resemblance to a coprolite. LoDuca et al. (2017) accept an origin as alga, a view that is followed herein.
