Taxonomic remark LPSN (2018 version) gives both "Spirochaetes" and "Spirochaetae" as alternative names for this phylum; Ruggiero et al. (2015) followed by IRMNG at this time, uses Spirochaetae (without quotation marks). The name "Spirochaetes" is presently used at both phylum and class levels, refer LPSN (2018 version). [details]
