Taxonomic remark Entirely fossil group comprising flask-shaped, organic walled marine microfossils of presently unknown taxonomic affinity; considered by Grahn & Paris, 2010 and Vodička et al., 20222 as reproductive bodies of otherwise unknown marine invertebrates, although Liang et al., 2020 prefer an assignment to Protista. Treated as either order or "group" above order, with authorship Eisenack, 1931 in contemporary treatments; placed temporarily at phylum level in IRMNG pending additional review of included taxa.
