Taxonomic remark Treated as subfamily (Peltinae) of Trogossitidae in Bouchard et al., 2011, however restored to family by Gimmel et al., 2019. Attribution to Latreille, 1806, found in many works e.g. Bouchard et al., 2011 and Gimmel et al., 2019 is apparently incorrect (original usage by Latreille was "Peltides"; correct attribution (originally as tribe or subfamily?) is Kirby, 1837, refer Bouchard & Bousquet, 2020. Appears to be senior homonym of Peltidae Vayssière, 1885 (Gastropoda). [details]
