Taxonomic remark This class is called Euglenidea in zoological nomenclature and Euglenophyceae in botanical nomenclature; Ruggiero et al., 2015 and Cavalier-Smith, 2016 use Euglenophyceae since this is "the only algal class of Euglenozoa" (Cavalier-Smith, 2016) while at the same time promoting naming of all Euglenozoan genera under the zoological Code for consistency.
