Taxonomic remark Authority given in Cavalier-Smith et al., 2016 as "Lister, 1909 or Olive, 1970", not further researched. This name represents the zoological treatment; currently (2023) IRMNG treats Dictyostelia and its included taxa under the botanical Code, per Baldauf & Strassmann, 2017. Catalogue of Life (2022 version) accepts (botanical) orders Dictyosteliales and Acytosteliales, but places them in kingdom Protozoa, phylum Mycetozoa, class Dictyosteliomycetes. [details]
