(2002) interpreted a deciduous habit for the parent plant based on densely matted accumulations of leaves in Australian Early Cretaceous deposits ... Rintoulia leaves are typically co-preserved with bennettitalean (Otozamites), pentoxylalean (Taeniopteris) or other pteridosperm (Komlopteris) leaves but at Inverleigh they are only associated with caytonialean (Sagenopteris) pinnules. [details]
